Ride for a Reason! Last year, hundreds of riders gathered to ride and raise funds & awareness for Special Olympics Northern California.
This year the Bike the Bridges event has a whole new look! We have decided to explore a new route by adding a unique virtual ride experience. Between October 11 and October 24, there are two ways to participate:
Pick your own route, and ride in your neighborhood, on your favorite bike trail or over a bridge near you, OR
On October 11, the 25 mile and 50K routes will be marked. Ride the course of your choice and start at any time you wish.
Even though we won’t be hosting our traditional event this year, the ride is still an opportunity to come together as a community, raise funds, earn incentives, and ride in the name of Special Olympics athletes.
Rider Registration - $50
Includes: Commemorative t-shirt and a $10 Kinder's BBQ gift card
Rider Registration & Face Mask - $60

Show your support by going the extra mile and fundraise! Set a personal fundraising goal when you register, and remember, the more you raise, the more incentives you can earn! The incentives below are in addition to the commemorative t-shirt and $10 Kinder's BBQ gift card when you register.
While we can't host Brewfest this year, you can still enjoy some great beers from local breweries and other Bike the Bridges commemoratives.
Come down to Martinez Waterfront (parking lot on the corner of North Court and Joe DiMaggio St) on Sunday, October 11th from 8:30a.m. to Noon and pick up your goodie bag. If unable to make the packet pick-up date, we'll be in touch about getting your packets to you.
We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities. To learn more email email@example.com for more information.
The finish line may be different this year, but our mission remains the same. We say it often, but it is resonating loudest now, Special Olympics is more than sports. Special Olympics has launched into action and developed several virtual activities, such as workouts, sports training tips, and health activities. We have also incorporated virtual sports competitions until we can be together again on the playing field.
While our methods have adapted, our dedication to individuals with intellectual disabilities has only strengthened. With your help, we can expand our reach and continue to provide vital programs and social connections to athletes across Northern California through COVID-19 and beyond.
We are #BetterTogether.
