April 17, 2021 @ Lake Shastina Community Center

Plunge for Special Olympics!

Hop, skip, run or jump into chilly waters for our amazing Special Olympics athletes.

Funds raised will help us continue to create change in our communities and enhance the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through sports.  Join the fun and make a difference!

What is the Plunge?

Well first of all, the Plunge is NOT a swim. The Plunge is a crazy fundraising event where people raise a minimum of $125 for the opportunity to run into and out of chilly waters along with other brave souls with warm hearts.  If you can't "bear" the thought of chilly water then just register as a chicken.  You’ll be excused from Plunging but still enjoy all the festivities and incentive rewards that our Plungers receive.

Plunge Perks

Have a blast! All registered participants are asked to raise a  minimum $125 and will receive the long sleeve Polar Plunge T-shirt and enjoy all the Plunge festivities which will include awards for best costumes and top fundraisers.   Additional incentive rewards can be earned so the more you raise the more you can receive (and the ore our athletes benefit)!  Polar Plunge T-shirts are distributed at the Plunge, any other incentives you earn will be mailed to you.  Watch for an email after the Plunge to claim your rewards!

Costumes are strongly encouraged, that's half of the fun!  Dress to Impress!

If you have any questions please email Plunge@sonc.org.

We look forward to everyone enjoying the 2021 Plunge in the safest environment possible. As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation through the Winter and early Spring, Special Olympics Northern California reserves the right to transition the Plunge at Lake Shastina into a completely virtual event should conditions not allow for in-person gatherings. All registration fees, and donations, from the in-person event (scheduled for April 17, 2021) will be moved to the virtual event. All transactions are non-refundable.
