The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, (LETR) in partnership with our communities, is to support Special Olympics Northern California through fundraising and public awareness, while enhancing the quality of life of our athletes. It is a year round fundraising campaign that culminates every year at the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games in June.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a fundraiser for Special Olympics. To run the torch, each runner is required to have an official runner's dri-fit Torch Run t-shirt. The shirt is $35 and also gives LETR personnel the honor of running with the Special Olympics torch, "Flame of Hope" on your agency's Summer Games run route. Everyone in our Law Enforcement community is invited to participate.
Individual Incentives! (Must raise by June 1 to guarantee arrival by your torch run date)
We encourage participants to set a minimum goal of $125 and in addition to the LETR Runners shirt, you will earn a LETR Challenge Coin. Raise $1,000 or more by June 1, 2018, and you can get one night free hotel accommodations at the Hallmark Inn (single occupancy, King bed) for either Friday or Saturday night Summer Games weekend, June 22.
Team Incentives! (Must raise by June 1 to guarantee arrival by your torch run date)
As a team, raise a minimum of $1,250 and your agency will earn a LETR/SONC Flag. Raise a minimum of $7,500 and earn a personalized agency torch.
Over 3,500 law enforcement personnel from Federal, Military, State, County and Local agencies participate in the Torch Run fundraising campaign. This is the opportunity for your agency to come together and make a positive impact in your community by supporting Special Olympics Northern California.
