(Picture of me taking the plunge in 2016)Call me crazy, but on February 29, 2020, I am going to take a quick dip in chilly waters to raise money for Special Olympics. Funds raised will help Special Olympics continue to generate change in our communities through sports and enhance the lives of our athletes and their families.
Personally, I'm doing this for my uncle who's autistic. He never played sports growing up, until about 5+ years ago. He's since played Baseball, Basketball, Bocce, and Bowling. He doesn't talk much or like to go outdoors; however, when it comes to sports with the Mendocino County Inland team, he now looks forwards to playing. My mother cried the first time he ran and dribbled the basketball at the same time. That was a huge accomplishment! Now basketball is his favorite sport. My uncle and his teammates enjoy playing sports, at no cost to them.
I'm hoping I can count on you to support my fundraising efforts. Click above on the red SUPPORT ME, to make a donation. The funds I raise will help change the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the confidence they need to be successful in life.
If you prefer to write a check or want to give a cash donation instead of using a credit card - please send me or my mom a message & I can pick up your donation. Every dollar counts and whatever you can give will be very much appreciated.

Fun Fact: The Polar Plunge was started by officers who belong to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
