Call me crazy, but on March 15, 2020, I am going to "Plunge with a Purpose" by taking a quick dip in semi-chilly waters to raise money for Special Olympics. Funds raised from the Polar Plunge help Special Olympics continue to generate change in our communities through sports and enhance the lives of our athletes and their families.
I have been a Volunteer with Special Olympics for over 25 years. I have watched many of our athletes grow over the years and I continue to be inspired and amazed by their kindness, determination and sportsmanship. I am grateful for the friendships I have built over the years with parents, families and other volunteers. A few years ago I became the Director for Sonoma County. This is a volunteer position and I spend between many hours a week checking emails, securing practice sites, planning competitions, overseeing volunteers/coaches, fundraising and most important of all....... coaching my athletes.
I'm hoping I can count on you to support my fundraising efforts. The funds I raise will help change the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the confidence they need to be successful in life.
If you prefer to mail in your donation instead of using a credit card, please click here to print out the form to mail in with your donation.
Every dollar counts and whatever you can give will be very much appreciated.
