Call me crazy, but I am going to take a Plunge (AGAIN!) by taking a quick dip in chilly waters of Lake Shastina to raise money for Siskiyou County Special Olympics.
You know me! I LOVE Special Olympics. Our program here in Siskiyou County is still growing and we are adding more sports every year.
You know, this year has been really hard for all of us. I am so tired of being at home and not going to work. But I know I have to stay safe and I cannot get this virus!
Did you know that Special Olympics Northern California had all kinds of trainings and activities and even competitions at home???!!! I did Summer Games at Home, Fall Sports and Fitness, and now I will do Basketball Skills and more Fitness for the winter. Hopefully, we can do Track and Field and Bocce in person starting in April! I am real good at using Zoom now! Did you know that sometimes they had over 200 people on a Zoom Fitness call?! That was fun!
Funds from the Polar Plunge will help Special Olympics continue to generate change in our communities through sports and enhance the lives of our athletes and their families.
I'm hoping I can count on you to support my fundraising efforts. The funds I raise will help change the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the confidence they need to be successful in life.
Every dollar counts and whatever you can give will be very much appreciated.
