United Airlines Dash & Splash 2018

To my ACSO Family!!!

It's that time of year again when I and other brave souls are getting ready to Plunge into the San Francisco Bay to help fundraise for Special Olympics Northern California (SONC).  Some of my ACSO brothers and sisters and I have been coaching a Northern California Special Olympics swim team,  the San Ramon Dolphins for the past 6 years.  We have had the fortunate opportunity to watch these athletes not only grow physically but be part of their skills, social and intellectual growth.  Six years ago we met children that were just becoming familiar with water and conquering their fears and now, as young adults, swimming 2, 4, and 8 lap events in both regional and state events.  We are truly blessed to be part of their lives!!

Call me crazy, but on March 3, 2018, we are  going to "Feel the Thrill of the Chill" by taking a quick dip in the chilly waters of the San Francisco Bay to raise money for Special Olympics.  I'm hoping we can count on you to support our fundraising efforts.   The funds we raise will help change the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them the confidence they need to be successful in life. We hope you will join our team and "Feel the Thrill of the Chill" to help us raise funds for Special Olympics.

Yes it takes a lot of guts to jump in the chilly waters of the San Francisco Bay in the middle of winter, but we're crazy enough to do it. Are you? You can dip your big toe or your whole body, it is completely up to you.

If Plunging is an "unbearable" thought to you, register as a chicken.  You can still be a part of our team and be excused from plunging but not all the fun we'll have.

Everyone who raises a minimum of $125 will receive a polar plunge long sleeved t-shirt free admittance to the pre-plunge party before the Plunge.

Come on! You can do it!  Be bold and get cold!  Wet or dry, on March 3, 2018, take the plunge with us for Special Olympics!
