Greater Nevada is Takin' It to the Streets for Special Olympics!
Greater Nevada has been supporting Special Olympics Nevada for the past 17 years by jumping into (or tipping a toe) into the chilly waters of Lake Tahoe! This year is no different (well maybe just a little) as we gather in Lake Tahoe to help support our wonderful Special Olympics athletes. The event will look a little different to ensure that we meet COVID guidelines and keep everyone safe. What will not change is the fun! This year's theme is the '70s and costumes are sure to be amazing! Help us to make this year's Plunge the GREATEST ever!
Join us on April 24, 2021, as we take the Plunge for Special Olympics to encourage inclusion through sports and change the way that people think about and treat individuals with intellectual disabilities. Funds raised will help us continue to generate change in our communities and enhance the lives of our athletes and their families.
Yes it takes a lot of guts to jump in chilly waters in the middle of winter, but we're crazy enough to do it. Are you? You can dip your big toe or your whole body, it is completely up to you.
If Plunging is an "unbearable" thought to you, register as a Towel Holder. You can still be a part of our team and and enjoy all the fun, but stay dry on land.
Everyone is asked to raise a minimum of $125 and will receive a Plunge log-sleeve T-shirt you can wear with pride
Come on! You can do it! Be bold and get cold! Wet or dry, take the plunge with us for Special Olympics!
